That was that. Leaving Ny-Ålesund after almost two months. Flying out and looking down on the lake. The water level is still going up. Seems to be a pattern here. At some point the lake will drain, but everything seems to be three weeks behind this year. Our cameras are still recording everything up there on a one minute interval. Some of the pressure loggers are still under water and we have a team going up there for a few more days. Let’s see what happens in the coming days, maybe I even manage to have another look at the area in the coming weeks. That was definitely an interesting experience and a very uncorporative lake.
