Running the radar snake

Another long day a the lake. Yet again, more water and more uplift of the ice. We’ve been running four kilometers of radar profiles over the floating ice, hoping over loads of crevasses. Looks like the lake is 50-60 m deep in places. The files from out timelapse cameras indicate that all the massive icebergs everywhere were just popping up within minutes. Must have been an impressive sight. There used to be a small lake on the glacier nearby. Now it is gone. Only a big crevasse is left, where the water drained in. Is this an indication for the drainage of our lake to happen soon? We’ll find out.
