Another day out in the field. Driving snowmobiles to map the volume of an icing. That’s an area infront of a glacier, where water comes out and freezes over. In our case we ended up with driving through slush and walking the radar in places where we were doubtful about snowmobiles not getting stuck. So back to good old wet feet glacier fieldwork in the middle of winter. Looking for the source of the water, we found a beautiful cave system where the water is still running inside. Not everything is as frozen as it seems from the outside.
