We spent another long day up on the glacier working at the lake. The lake and the surrounding moulins are filling up fast and there is still more than one meter of snow up there. Plenty of meltwater to come. We managed to install the first eight timelapse cameras. Twelve more to go. It took us two hours to probe our way to a big moulin. Felt like alpine climbing in the horizontal. Building a safe stand, belaying over the snow covered ice while probing a safe way, building a new stand and belaying again. Only one moulin and one cave along the 120 m we managed to cover within two hours. Then rapelling down a massive water filled moulin to take water samples. A long day that ended with a ride home over the fjord after midnight and some fuel spilling over our bags in the boat.
