It’s been almost ten weeks since I was carried on a special plane and evacuated from Svalbard to receive medical treatment. Ten weeks, which I won’t remember as the most pleasant ones. Probably still another couple of months to go until full recovery. But now I finally managed to walk on a plane again and get back up again. Time to get back to work and out in the field. But where did all the snow go? And why is it so warm? Too bad that I got a note saying I shouldn’t be wearing shorts for medical reasons. It’s definitely shorts season in the high Arctic already.
